This final project is entitled "A Translation Analysis of Nominal Group in the Introduction Chapter of "The Winner's Brain". This project is purposed to identify the nominal group structures in the introduction of the The Winner's Brain, to find out the translation techniques used in The Winner's Brain, and to analyze the translation quality of the translated phrase in The Winner's Brain. The object analysis of this project is the phrases in The Winner's Brain that related to motivation and psychology. The method of this project is qualitative methods that divided into two; data collection (literature study and questionnaire) and data analysis (selecting data, analyzing data, and describing data). The result of this study shows that the most nominal group use in The Winner's Brain Introduction chapter in Source Language (TL) is premodifier-head-postmodifier 54% while in Target Language (TL) is head-postmodifier 63.4%, 70% of data use translation literal technique, and 63.4% the quality of this nominal group is accurate-acceptable. This project can be useful for people who need the information about nominal group, translation technique, and translation quality. Keywords: nominal group, translation technique, translation quality.
