Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan aktivitas Public Relations PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) memperingati Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional dalam meningkatkan citra perusahaan yang ditinjau dari empat proses kerja Public Relations, yaitu pencarian fakta (fact finding), perencanaan (planning), komunikasi (communication), evaluasi (evaluating). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui studi pustaka (literatur, skripsi penelitian terdahulu dan internet searching) dan melalui studi lapangan (observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi). Teknik penentuan informan adalah melalui teknik purposive sampling berjumlah lima terdiri tiga informan kunci dan dua informan pendukung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini adalah penemuan fakta di lapangan, citra perusahaan Pos Indonesia mulai terlupakan di masyarakat akibat persaingan bisnis, pelaksanaan mengambil moment hari peduli sampah nasional disesuaikan dengan program ÃâPos Bergerak, 2016Ãâ, perencanaan publik yang dituju seluruh stakeholeder Pos Indonesia, anggaran biaya didukung dari perusahaan dan pihak sponsor, komunikasi melakukan sosialisasi kepada karyawan, media yang diundang terdiri dari media cetak dan media online, Public Relations melakukan tugas mengatur media, evaluasi semua berjalan sesuai dengan rencana, media yang diundang semua memberitakan kegiatan Pos Indonesia,. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, aktivitas Public Relations belum berjalan dengan maksimal, karena tugas dan fungsi Public Relations masih dibatasi, terlihat pada saat perencanaan Public Relations tidak berhak untuk memutuskan yang berhak hanya atasan dan Public Relations hanya diberi tugas untuk mengatur media massa. Saran penelitian Public Relations sebaiknya lebih dilibatkan dalam hal pengambilan keputusan agar memudahkan melakukan aktivitas kegiatan dan secara kontinu mengadakan kegiatan yang bersifat sosial dan lebih variatif dan citra dimasyarakat selalu meningkat.

This research was aimed to describe and to explain the activities of Public Relations of PT Post Indonesia (Persero) to commemorate "Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional" in improving the corporate image in terms of Public Relations' four-work processes, namely fact-finding, planning, communication and evaluation. This research employed qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection technique used was through literature-study (literature, previous research and internet searching) also through field-studies (participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation). Technique in determining informant directed through purposive sampling technique consisting of five aspects; three key informants and two supporting informants. Based on the result of this research, it showed the fact-finding on the studied-field, the corporate image of Post Indonesia nowadays commenced to be forgotten by the society caused by the competitive businesses, the implementation took moment of "Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional" adjusted with the program Post Moves, 2016, the targeted public planning was every-stakeholder of Post Indonesia, the budget was supported from the company and the sponsors, communication conducted to all employees, media were invited consisting of print-media and online media, Public Relations performed the tasks of regulating the media, evaluation operated well according to the plan, all the invited media delivered the news of Post Indonesia activities. The conclusion of this research, the activity of Public Relations has not yet ran well, because the tasks and roles of Public Relations were still restricted, It can be seen that when they made the planning, Public Relations was not entitled to decide, for the permanent authority remains from the superiors and the Public Relations were only given the tasks to organize the mass media. ResearchÃâs suggestion; Public Relations should be more involved in making decisions in order to ease the Public Relations in conducting the activities and regularly arrange social activities and more varied activities and image within the society will always be improved.
