The title of this final project is An Analysis of Figurative Language Used in The Avengers: Infinity War Subtitle. Its research aims are to find expressions which are categorized as figurative language used in The Avengers: Infinity War subtitle, to categorize the type of figurative language used in The Avengers: Infinity War subtitle, and to find most figurative language used in the subtitle. The researh method used is text analysis. The research also shows that there are 63 expressions in the subtitle categorized as figurative language. The most figurative language types found in the present researh are verbal irony, synecdoche “totem pro parteâ€�, simile, and anaphora.
