The present project is about analyzing translation of metaphor in the first twenty chapters of The Alchemyst: The Secret of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. It is conducted to find out the translation procedure and translation strategy used by the Indonesian translator while translating the metaphor found in the novel. Besides, it is conducted to find out about the quality of translation based on the parameter of accuracy, acceptability, and readability. Translating metaphor is really challenging because sometimes metaphor is hard to be recognized by the readers. To find out the quality of the translation, nine questionnaires are spread to raters with 3 raters of each aspect. The results of the analysis shows that the most common used translation procedure used by translator is reproducing the same image with 27 metaphors (42.86%), then followed by replacing the SL with standard TL with 23 (36.51). Then, for analyzing the strategy, the most common used is Impact of the Receiving Culture with 43 (68.25%). The last result shows that the quality of translation is accurate, acceptable, and readable with 2.68.
