This final project analyzes types of sentencess in some articles in National Geographic Kids Magazines. The aims of this analysis are to find types of sentencess used in the articles of the magazine and to find what type of sentences more frequently used. National Geographic Kids use English as a media to give lots of information about education for children. Literature review is used to find the strengths and weaknesses from the previous work, and also used to find the gap that is fulfilled by this analysis. The analysis referred to the theory of types of sentences from Oshima and Hogue (1991). The types of sentences are Simple Sentences, Compound Sentences, Complex Sentences, and Compound-Complex Sentences. The method used qualitative method. The data collections have been conducted by collecting the data, and selecting data. As the result of the analysis, there are four types of sentences used in those articles, and the commonly used is Simple Sentences.
