The title of the thesis is ”Analisis Compound Noun dalam novel Bloodline dan The Stars Shine Down (kajian Morfologi dan Semantik).” one of the purposes of the thesis is to know the forming process of compound noun and to know the influence of the forming process about the meaning of compound noun.
The method of this research is descriptive. The method tells some possibilities to solve actual problem by collecting, searching, analyzing and grouping data that would be analyzed.
Based on the analysis on the data, it can be concluded that in novel Bloodline and The Stars Shine Down, there are five combinations namely, Noun + Noun, Adjective +Noun, Noun + Verb, Verb + Noun, Gerund + Noun. Based on those combinations, compound noun has the different way of writing by one or two independent words. If the writing of compound noun seperated, it has different meaning and after forming the compound noun, it creates new meaning which has united meaning.
