Penelitian yang berjudul “Analisis Ilokusi dalam Naskah Film Maze Runner” ini membahas tentang tindak tutur khususnya ilokusi yang ada di naskah film Maze Runner. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tutur ilokusi apa saja yang digunakan dalam naskah film tersebut dan juga melihat klasifikasi tindak tutur apa yang muncul pada ilokusi naskah film tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data lalu mendeskripsikan data berdasarkan pada teori-teori. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan teori Sadock (1974, 2009) yaitu Toward a Linguistic Theory of Speech acts, selain itu digunakan teori Searle and Vanderveken (1895) untuk melengkapi penelitian ini. Berdasarkan pada penelitian yang dilakukan, ditemukan lima belas data ilokusi. Dari kelima belas data tersebut, sebelas di antaranya masuk dalam klasifikasi kategori direktif (directive) dan empat data masuk dalam klasifikasi kategori ekspresif (expressive). Selain itu, ditemukan jenis tindak tutur dari klasifikasi kategori direktif yang muncul seperti commanding, informing, requesting dan advicing. Sedangkan di kategori ekspresif yaitu pleasure, satire, welcome dan confusing. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kalimat-kalimat yang diambil sebagai data itu dimunculkan oleh penulis skenario film Maze Runner untuk menimbulkan keseruan film.

This research entitled “The Analysis of Speech in Maze Runner Movie Script” discussed about the speech act, especially illocutionary act. The purpose of this research is to describe the illocutionary speech act that used in the movie script and also to observe the speech act classification that appears in the movie script. In this research, the writer used descriptive method to analyze the data and describe it according the theories. The theory that used in this research such as the theory of Sadock (1974, 2009) ‘Toward a Linguistic Theory of Speech Acts, the writer also used Searle and Vanderveken (1985) theory to complete the research. Based on the analysis which has done, there are 15 data of illocutionary act. From 15 data, 11 data are directive speech act classification and 4 data are the expressive speech act classification. In addition, there is a type of speech act from the directive category of speech act classification that appears such as : commanding, informing, requesting and advicing. While the category of expressive such as : pleasure, satire, welcome and confusing. From the result of the research it inferential that sentences are taken as the data which was presented by the Maze Runner screenwriter is to utter a shout in the movie.
