The purpose of this research is to know how content of headline news on Pikiran Rakyat daily news in terms of press releases objectivity toward news accuracy, fairness, and news validity.
This research used descriptive methods. The data collecting in this research used literature study and interview. The numbers of samples were 30-headline news script in May 2007. The sampling technique in this research used census.
The result of this research through agree-codes are the content of headline news on Pikiran Rakyat daily news during May 2007 indicated the title in accord with its content is 66.67% (medium correlation). News timing accuracy time is 100% (very high correlation). News with using support data is 76.67% (high correlation). Unmixed fact and opinion in news is 70% (high correlation). Well-balanced objectivity news in terms of source is 86.67% (high correlation). Clear news source is 100% (very high correlation). And journalist as news source competency is 53.33% (medium correlation).
In conclusion, the press release objectivity of headline news on Pikiran Rakyat daily news during May 2007 had been worked well. It was evidenced that the result of research told high correlation
