Purpose of this research is to know how analyse content pulling weapon property of police members considered by journalism language. The variables are short sentences, active sentence, economic word and absorption language. Many newspaper sometimes disregard language of mass communication method in writing news in its media. This research try to look for what is use of language of communication at news have as according to its method. That is with measuring four category applying language of mass communication method as identifying problem. First, use of short sentence. Second, active sentence. Third, use economic word. Fourth, use absorption language.
The method used is descriptive method, with content analysis technique. To analyse content used by our methodological as told by Guido H. Stempel III, that is election set of analysis, category construction, sample and withdrawn of coding rability. For the technique of data collecting used by total sampling that is sample taken away from overall of population. This research overall population amount to 17 population and taken away from news of Pikiran Rakyat at March edition.
The result show each for used of short sentence equal to 100 %, use of active sentence equal to 100 %, use of economic wordequal to 100 %, and the last use absortion language equal to 99,57 %. It’s conclusion that is language of mass communication have been applied as according to it’s method in Pikiran Rakyat daily newspaper. , but absortion language must to decreaseas good as possible.
Further research is needed to more deepending science concerning language of mass communication.
