Permasalahan dalam skripsi ini adalah (1) Bagaimanakah kelengkapan unsur 5W + 1H pada teks berita siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Kabupaten Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015, (2) Bagaimana kelogisan isi dilihat dari unsur 5W + 1H Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Kabupaten Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015? dan (3) Bagaimana koheren dan koherensi pada teks berita Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Kabupaten Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015?
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Kelengkapan unsur 5W + 1H pada teks berita siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Kabupaten Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015, (2) Kelogisan isi dilihat dari unsur 5W + 1H pada teks berita siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Kabupaten Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 dan (3) Kohesi dan koherensi pada teks berita Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Kabupaten Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Analisis data dengan reflektif adalah analisa yang berpedoman pada cara berfikir reflektif dari John Dewey, dan pada dasarnya berfikir reflektif ini adalah kombinasi yang kuat antara berfikir deduktif dan induktif. Metode Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah : metode interview, observasi dan dokumenter.
Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa hasil analisis yang dilakukan peneliti secara umum dapat dikatakan bahwa semua siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Kabupaten Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 mampu membuat teks berita dengan baik dan benar dan hasil berita yang dibuat oleh siswa juga telah mengandung kelogisan isi dilihat dari unsur 5W + 1H. Hasil teks berita yang dibuat siswa juga mengandung unsur kohesi dan koherensi sebagaimana hasil penelitian yang telah peneliti lakukan.

Method which is used in this research is method qualitative. Analyse data with reflektif is analysis which is berpedoman at way of reflektif berfikir of John Dewey, and basically this reflektif berfikir is strong combination [among/between] inductive and deductive berfikir. Method Data collecting the used is : method of interview, and observation of dokumenter.
Result of this research is concluded that result of conducted by analysis is researcher in general can be said that by all class student of VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 06 Wuluhan Sub-Province of Jember School Year 2014 / 2015 can make news text better and real correct and result of made by news is student have also contained is logical of content seen from element 5W + 1H.
