PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang berkecimpung dalam bisnis ritel berbentuk toko modern yang tersebar di seluruh Jawa Barat. Maka kegiatan organisasi sangat dipengaruhi oleh karyawan yang loyal dan memiliki kinerja positif. Kriteria karyawan tersebut bisa dimiliki apabila diperhatikan makna kerjanya. Gejala yang terjadi di PT. XYZ yaitu tingginya angka karyawan yang mengundurkan diri yaitu mencapai angka sekitar 21%, serta terdapatnya beberapa indicator yang menunjukkan kecenderungan nilai negatif mengenai makna kerja. Maka penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui tingkat makna kerja karyawan PT. XYZ. Dimensi yang digunakan ialah tiga dimensi makna kerja menurut Steger dkk. (2012), yakni dimensi positive meaning, dimensi meaning making through work, dan dimensi greater good motivation. Penelitian ini diarahkan sebagai penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif, dilaksanakan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada sampel karyawan Divisi Operasional PT. XYZ (N = 187) yang mewakili populasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karyawan PT. XYZ secara umum memiliki makna kerja yang tinggi. Meskipun begitu, masih terdapat item yang dirasakan pegawai yang belum maksimal yaitu item pada dimensi greater good motivation. Adapun dilihat dari dimensi, positive meaning merupakan dimensi yang mempunyai nilai tertinggi, sedangkan greater good motivation memiliki nilai terendah. Kata kunci: karyawan, makna, kerja.

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in the retail business in the form of modern stores spread throughout West Java. The organizational activities are influenced by loyal and positive employees. The employee criteria can be owned if it is considered the meaning of work. Some indications that occur at PT. XYZ is a high number of employees who resign that reached value around 21%, and there are several indicators that show a negative tendency towards the meaning of work. This study aims to define the rate of work meaning of employees of PT. XYZ. The dimensions used are three dimensions of work meaning according to Steger et al. (2012), as follows dimensions of positive meaning, dimensions of meaning making through work, and dimensions of greater good motivation. This research is directed as quantitative research with descriptive analysis method, carried out through the distribution of questionnaires to samples of employees of the Operational Division of PT. XYZ (N = 187) representing the population. The acquisition of the study points out that the employees of PT. XYZ mostly has a high work meaning. Even so, there are still items that employees feel that have not been maximized, namely items on the dimension of greater good motivation. As for the dimensions, positive meaning is a dimension that has the highest value, while greater good motivation has the lowest value. Keywords: employees, meaning, works of employees.
