PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk adalah perusahaan operator telekomunikasi di Indonesia. Pada Februari 2006, PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk telah go public dengan mendaftarkan sahamnya dalam Bursa Efek Jakarta (BEJ) dengan kode BTEL. PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk mengintegrasikan merek dagang Esia prabayar, AHA dan modem Esia Max-D sebagai langkah perusahaan dalam menghadapi tantangan persaingan industri telekomunikasi yang semakin ketat. Sebagai perusahaan yang kepemilikannya telah dimiliki oleh pemegang saham, maka tujuan utama perusahaan ini adalah untuk mensejahterakan pemegang sahamnya. Tingkat profitabilitas tersebut akan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan tersebut. Metode yang penulis gunakan pada penelitian terhadap PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode Analisis Kuantitatif. Serta alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah Du Pont System, yaitu sistem yang menggabungkan Net Profit Margin, Total Asset Turnover, Return on Asset dan Financial Leverage Multiplayer untuk menentukan Return on Equity yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan rata-rata industri perusahaan sejenis untuk mengukur kinerja PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan Return on Equity PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk dan melihat bagaimana kinerja keuangan perusahaan jika dibandingkan dengan rata-rata industri. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap laporan keuangan PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk periode 2008-2012, dapat disimpulkan bahwa selama lima tahun tersebut, kinerja keuangan PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk belum bisa dibilang baik karena berada di bawah rata-rata industri. Return on Equity mengalami penurunan dari tahun 2008-2012. Walaupun secara keseluruhan hampir semua perusahaan juga mengalami penurunan nilai ROE, namun hanya PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk yang mengalami penurunan sangat jauh. Kata kunci: Du Pont System, Net Profit Margin, Total Asset Turnover, Return on Asset, Financial Leverage Multiplayer, Return on Equity.

As well as analysis tool used is Du Pont System, that is a system that combines the Net Profit Margin, Total Asset Turnover, Return on Asset and Financial Leverage Multiplayer to determine the Return on Equity which is then compares to the industry average of similar companies to measure the performance of PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk. The goal of this analysis is to determine the progression of Return on Equity PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk and see how the company's financial performance compared to the industry average. Based on the analysis of the financial statements of PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk period 2008 untill 2012, it can be concluded that during the five years, the financial performance of PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk is not good, because it decreased from 2008 untill 2012. Althought almost all of ROE's company as a whole is also impaired, but only PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk which has far decreased.
