ABSTRACT This report been prepared as the result of the research at Informatika department in and the train topic of the research is motivation. The topic is "ANALYZE THE MOTIVATION THE EMPLOYEES of LIPI INFORMATIKA PURSUANT TO McClelland THEORY". One of management jobs is to motivated employee. This is needed to make employees being motivated highly motivated employees can yield high work performance. Basically, McClelland believe there are tree types of needs are need s and it conclusive for their attitude. The tree types of needs are need for power, need for affiliation, and need for achievement. This research is to identify the most motivated needs for employees in LIPI Informatika. With the used SPSS version 11,0 for Windows program, this research has found that the needs for affiliation is the dominant motivation amongst the tree of them. It is showns by the value 4.0667. In addition according to Gender there is no significant differences in every needs to ages and how long they works there is has significant differences. But according to education there is no significant differences in every needs except, for needs for power there is have significant differences.
