This project is entitled "Analysis of American Culture from How I Met Your Mother TV Series". The main objective of this research is to find out cultural aspects from How I Met Your Mother TV series. It used a qualitative method. Its data were obtained through watching the TV series and took note about the cultural acts. The data were analyzed by using theory of three layers culture from Rosinki (2003). Moreover, the final results of the research indicate the following. First, there are 53 cultural acts from Season 1 and 2 of How I Met Your Mother series. Second, there are 3 types of culture to classifies the cultural acts; basic assumption, norm and value, and artifact. In addition, the type of cultural acts mostly found in How I Met Your Mother TV series is artifact. Keywords: Cultural acts, Three layers of culture, Basic Assumption, Norm and value, Artifact.
