The project entitled "Analyzing Idiomatic Expressions in Serials British Comedy "My Family"" analyzed the types and the meaning of idiomatic expressions found in the three episodes of My Family serials. A qualitative approach was applied to analyze the subtitle scripts. The types of idioms were examined through three experts; they were Denoun, Higa, and English Learners.From the three episodes of My Family serials, there were 207 items of idiomatic expression found. The results showed that the idiomatic expressions were categorized into lexemic, idiomatic pairs/ binomial, phrase logical idioms/ whole clause or sentence/ opaque or transparent, proverbial idioms, one word idioms/ polysemes, simile, trinomial, metaphorical, and colloquial or cultural. The type of idioms most frequently used in the serials was lexemic. Keywords: idiomatic expressions, types of idioms, meaning, serials.
