The present final project is about analyzing the phrasal verbs entitled Analyzing the Phrasal Verbs in Murder on the Orient Express Novel by Agatha Christie. This research has some aims, those are organized phrasal verbs found in Murder on the Orient Express Novel by Agatha Christie, finding phrasal verbs from both English version and its translated version, finding the meaning of phrasal verbs in monolingual dictionary, identifying type of each phrasal verb, finding the translation method used in translating each phrasal verb, and giving the explanation of translation method of each phrasal verb used in the novel. The research focuses on 5 theories of phrasal verb from the experts, Rawdon Wyatt, Alan Cornell, R. M. W. Dixon, Carter Cabernet, and Nery Caryn. The result of the research shows that there are 183 expressions in the novel categorized as phrasal verb, and the most commonly phrasal verb used in the novel is Transitive and Inseparable Phrasal Verb, also the most commonly translation method used in the novel is Literal Translation.
