Perkembangan teknologi dalam dunia industri membuat banyak pengusaha dan pasar memanfaatkannya untuk memasarkan barang dan jasa. Teknologi yang ada saat ini dapat memudahkan pengguna untuk memasarkan berbagai jenis produk, sekaligus dapat memperkenalkannya melalui internet. Internet dapat mempercepat proses pemasaran itu sendiri dan jangkauannya yang sangat luas seolah tak terbatas. Disamping itu, biaya pemasaran juga dapat menjadi lebih murah. Di saat banyaknya aplikasi yang memberikan layanan tersebut, bisnis kue belum mendapat perhatian yang serupa seiring berkembangnya teknologi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan aplikasi penjualan secara online yang difokuskan untuk usaha kue yang dapat menangani jual beli produk dengan cepat sehingga pembeli tidak perlu untuk datang ke toko kue. Aplikasi penjualan ini dibuat untuk memasarkan serta membantu penjualan secara online dan mengumpulkan berbagai macam penjual kue dalam satu media untuk menjual kue. Aplikasi bertipe marketplace dapat membantu pembeli untuk membeli kue di mana saja dan kapan saja. Aplikasi dibangun dengan menggunakan basis data HBase, diimplementasi menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Java dengan front-end Java Server Pages (JSP). Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam memasarkan produk-produk dari penjual kue dan membantu pembeli serta pemilik usaha dalam melakukan bisnis penjualan kue.

Existing technology can make it easier for the user to market various types of products as well as introduce them through the internet, because marketing products using the internet media could accelerate the marketing process itself, due to its very broad reach and seemingly unlimited, accessible from anywhere and anytime. In addition, marketing costs could also be cheaper. At a time when there are many applications that provide these services, we think that bakery business have not received the same attention from this advantage of technology. Therefore, it is necessary to create an online ordering and sales system that is focused on pastry or cake business by creating an application that can handle the sale and purchasing of baked goods quickly so that customers don’t have to bother coming to the bakery to buy the products. This application is made to market and help the bakery do their business online, and also to collect any various type of bakery business to one media to sell their goods. Marketplace-based application could help someone to buy cake anywhere and anytime is. This application was made using HBase database, implemented in Java programming language, for the back-end for the back-end and Java Server Pages (JSP) for the front-end. By creating this application, it is expected to be able to help the market of bakery products, and help customers and the owner of bakery or pastry business to do their sales.
