This final project is entitled "Bob Marley's Messages to the World through His Songs". It is about what messages that Bob Marley wants to deliver through his songs. It is conducted in order to show the audiences of the themes and the messages of the songs in which the result will present the three most commonly themes used. The researcher selects 50 of 92 Bob Marley's songs from his nine albums in 1971-1980 to be analyzed. Those songs are analyzed using textual analysis or content analysis. To find the messages and the themes of the songs, it utilizes two techniques of data analysis: listening to the songs, and reading the lyrics. The researcher found two most important findings. The first, motivation, love, and humanity become the three most commonly themes of Bob Marley's songs. The second finding is about the messages of the songs through which Bob Marley wants to deliver his thought-wanting the audiences to do something good.
