Penelitian yang berjudul ÃâClass struggle pada Keluarga Eragon dalam Novel Eragon Karya Christopher PaoliniÃâ bertujuan untuk meneliti class struggle pada keluarga Eragon, serta meneliti penyebab dan dampak class struggle. Class struggle mendeskripsikan tentang konflik antara dua kelas sosial yang terjadi dalam masyarakat. Class struggle merupakan konflik terus-menerus yang terjadi di setiap kalangan masyarakat. Class struggle tersebut dapat berdampak terhadap perubahan status sosial ataupun berdampak pada kekuasaan pada suatu entitas sosial. Analisis class struggle dalam novel Eragon akan menggunakan teori class struggle dari Karl Marx yang diambil dari buku The Communist Manifesto. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode desktiptif, yaitu menggambarkan hal yang tengah berlangsung pada saat penelitian dilakukan dan memeriksa sebab-sebab dari suatu peristiwa tertentu. Hasil dari analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa representasi class struggle dalam novel Eragon bisa disebabkan karena faktor ketidaksengajaan, balas dendam, dan keinginan untuk mendapatkan posisi yang lebih baik. Dampak dari class struggle adalah mengubah status sosial ke kelas sosial yang lebih tinggi.

This research entitled "Class struggle of the EragonÃâs in PaoliniÃâs Eragon" aimed to examine the class struggle in the EragonÃâs family, and to examine the causes and the impact of the class struggle. Class struggle describes the conflict between two social classes in society. Class struggle is the constant conflict that occurs in every society. The class struggle can give an impact on the change of social status or the impact on power in a social entity. To analyze the class struggle in Eragon novel, the writer used the class struggle theory by Karl Marx that taken from the book The Communist Manifesto. The method in this research uses descriptive method, which illustrates the ongoing events when the research was conducted and examines the causes of the particular event. The results of the analysis shows that class struggle representation in Eragon novel can be caused by unintentional factor, revenge and the wish to get a better position. The impact of the class struggle is the change of social status into a higher social class.
