Penelitian dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui mendeskripsikan cyber warfare antara Amerika Serikat dan Korea Utara dalam kasus film The Interview oleh Sony Pictures Entertainment, peneliti juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui cyber warfare antara Amerika Serikat dan Korea Utara dalam kasus film The Interview oleh Sony Pictures Entertainment, untuk megetahui latar belakang cyber warfare antara Amerika Serikat dan Korea Utara dalam kasus film The Interview oleh Sony Pictures Entertainment,untuk mengetahui kerugian yang dialami oleh Sony Pictures Entertainment atas serangan siber yang dilakukan Korea Utara dan untuk mengetahui respon Amerika Serikat terhadap serangan siber Korea Utara kepada Sony Pictures Entertainment. Metode penelitiaan yang digunakan peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sebagian besar data yang dikumpulkan melalui studi kepustakaan, penelusuran data online, official report. Penelitian dilakukan di Information Resource Center Embassy of United States di Jakarta serta di Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia di Jakarta, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa cyber warfare antara Amerika Serikat dan Korea Utara dimulai akibat Sony Pictures Entertainment sebagai salah satu perusahaan yang terletak di Amerika Serikat memproduksi film The Interview. Film The Interview menceritakan pembunuhan kepala negara Korea Utara. Korea Utara melakukan aksi serangan siber kepada Sony Pictures Entertainment sebagai bentuk menjaga kedaulatannya. Amerika Serikat merespon serangan siber Korea Utara yang telah merusak kedaulatan dan mengancam keamanan nasional Amerika Serikat.

The research is intended to find out the description of cyber warfare between the United States and North Korea in the case of The Interview film by Sony Pictures Entertainment, the researcher also aims to find out cyber warfare between the United States and North Korea in the case of The Interview film by Sony Pictures Entertainment to get to know the background cyber warfare between the United States and North Korea in the case of The Interview movie by Sony Pictures Entertainment, to find out the losses suffered by Sony Pictures Entertainment for North Korean cyber attacks and to find out the US response to North Korean cyberattacks to Sony Pictures Entertainment. Research method used by researcher in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Most of the data collected through literature study, online data tracking, official report. The research was conducted at the Information Resource Center Embassy of United States in Jakarta as well as at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences in Jakarta, Indonesia. The results of this study show that cyber warfare between the United States and North Korea started as a result of Sony Pictures Entertainment as one of the companies located in the United States produced the film The Interview. The Interview film recounts the killing of the North Korean head of state. North Korea staged cyberattacks to Sony Pictures Entertainment as a form of safeguarding its sovereignty. The United States responded to North Korean cyberattacks that have damaged sovereignty and threatened the national security of the United States.
