Ringkasan
The purpose of this research is to know the reason of Indonesia government ask
the IMF to assist in handling monetary crisis in 1997. As everyone know that in
handling of crisis, IMF accompanied by loan condition in the form of structural
adjustment, for that reason in this research is also addressed to know the
execution of the loan condition consisting of tight fiscal policy, trade
liberalization and privatization also social safety net which addressed to lessen
effect to weak group in economic reform and also prosperity situation of
Indonesia social society at the time of structural adjustment policy execution.
In this research used descriptive research method to formulate problems
that happened with implementation of structural adjustment policy by IMF at
handling of monetary crisis 1997 affecting at prosperity of Indonesia social
society.
In this research, the hypothesis is that execution of IMF structural
adjustment policy at handling of monetary crisis 1997, giving negative impact to
prosperity of Indonesia social society.
With research which have been executed, please conclude that execution
of structural policy of IMF in handling of monetary crisis in 1997 giving negative
impact to prosperity of Indonesia society social, seen from going down social
prosperity indicator aspects namely health, education, nutrition, household
consumption and expenditure also employment program.
