This project entitled developing a book about Rijsttafel: "Rijsttafel: The numerous Dutch Indonesian dishes in one meal". It was made for the reason of rarely sources explaining about Rijsttafel. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an informational book about it so as to people know more about this kind of serving meal and its dishes. Methods of production were employed to complete this project. The data were collected by doing literature study, interviewing, and observing. After the data from interview and observation were collected, they were transcribed and interpreted. The next steps were prewriting, writing, revising, designing, printing, and binding. Several writing theories such as recount text, descriptive, and persuasive writing, rhetorical questions, translation strategies and oxymoron as a figurative speech have been applied in making this project. The book is written in English, in the hope that the readers throughout the world know more about Rijsttafel. Keywords: Rijsttafel, Dutch, information, book, meal, Indonesia.
