The title of this final project is “Developing a Book on Reviews of Several Indonesian Indie Filmsâ€�. This study focuses in reviewing several Indonesian indie films. The project is aimed to introduce several Indonesian indie films. It is also made to give clear explanation about the message being told by each indie film. In each review there is an explanation about general information about the film, social background of each film, summary, two significant elements of film, strengths, weaknesses, opinion, also recommendation. The used of tenses applied in writing style of the review. Also, descriptive, narrative, and argumentative writing technique are used when writing the reviews. Qualitative method is used in collecting the data. The data have been collected by library study, internet sources, interviewing the director, and survey. The result of this project titled "Indonesian Indie Film reviews". There are 12 selected films based on the certain themes. The selected themes are social criticism, critique to the Indonesian government, and culture. The book is written in English. This book may become one of the ways for each director to promote the films in the International indie film festivals.
