This final project is entitled "Developing a Hiking Guidebook on Mt. Semeru"�. The project was conducted to give information and provide guidance for young beginners on how they can climb Mt. Semeru. In conducting this project, several steps were used. They were observing Mt. Semeru, selecting the data and doing library study. Moreover, descriptive and recount writing were used as techniques in writing the contents of this book. The result of this project is guidebook about hiking on Mt. Semeru. The book consists of some contents: they are preface, introduction, general information about Mt. Semeru, preparation before climbing, the routes to climb Mt. Semeru, conclusion and references. Hopefully, the hiking guidebook will become one of the ways to introduce and promote Mt. Semeru for local and foreign mountaineers. Additionally, this book will help young beginners when climbing Mt.
