Jember has several rivers, including the river Bedadung sourced from Iyang Mountains in the Central part. Bedadung long time reached 191 kilometers. The activity of the community a round the river must be influened on the fish existence. The problem in this research is how diversity and abundance of fish in the Bedadung river region of Jember city.Kind of this research is qualitative study with the descriptive quantitative design. The researth was November 1st 2016. The sample collection using purposive sampling and using three an observation station. Based on the diversity known index Shannon Wiener (H’), while abundance calculate use of the relative abundance. The identification results found 3 famila ie: 1) Cichlidae with one species “nila” (Oreochromis sp), 2) Cyprinidae with four species “nilem” (Osteochilus sp), “lunjar padi” (Rasbora sp), lunjar “bintik dua” (Puntius sp), and fish “lunjar gondok” (Carassius sp), 3) Loricariidae with one species “sapu-sapu” (Hypostomus sp). While to index diversity 1,18 temperate categorized, index homogeneity 1.21 evenly domination 0,027 low categorized and abundance relatively 1.100 low categorized
