Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Efektivitas kegiatan Coffee Break Badan Geologi terhadap Motivasi Kerja Karyawan Pusat Survei Geologi. Sehingga untuk dapat melihat seberapa besar pengaruhnya, peneliti mencoba untuk menganalisis kredibilitas, Isi Pesan, serta Intensitas yang disajikan dalam Coffee Break serta Existence Needs, Relatedness Needs, serta Growth Needs pada karyawan.
Tipe penelitian adalah kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Survey dengan tekhnik analisis Deskriptif. data dikumpulkan melalui angket, serta didukung oleh studi literatur dan juga Wawancara. Unit samplingnya adalah karyawan Pusat Survei Geologi yang menjadi peserta Coffee Break pada tanggal 17 Juni 2008 dengan populasi dan sampel sebesar 52 orang, karena Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Total Sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan Koefisien Korelasi Rank Spearman.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan pengaruh kredibilitas komunikator terhadap motivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,9. Pengaruh isi pesan terhadap motivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,9. Pengaruh intensitas terhadap motivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,9. Pengaruh efektivitas coffee break terhadap Existence Needs dengan korelasi sebesar 0,9. Pengaruh efektivitas coffee break terhadap Relatedness Needs dengan korelasi sebesar 0,9. Pengaruh efektivitas coffee break terhadap Growth Needs dengan korelasi sebesar 0,9. Pengaruh efektivitas coffee break terhadap moyivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,9. Hasil pengolahan data dan pengujian hipotesis, mengisyaratkan bahwa Ho ditolak, dengan demikian hipotesis konseptual diterima. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada pengaruh efektivitas Coffee Break Badan Geologi terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan Pusat Survei Geologi.
Kesimpulan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa Coffee Break Badan Geologi efektif terhadap motivasi kerja di kalangan karyawan Pusat Survei Geologi.
Saran yang dapat peneliti berikan adalah hendaknya Coffee Break lebih ditingkatkan lagi, dalam pengemasannya, konsep acara, dan pembicara agar karyawan benar-benar mendapat motivasi yang menjadi tujuan kegiatan Geoseminar.

Sampling Unit is employees of Pusat Survei Geologi that follow Coffee Break Badan Geologi, that amount to 52 employees. Data is collected pass by questionnaire spreading, interview and librarian. Technique of data analysis that used by to see relation/link between variable used Koefisien by Rank Spearman.
