It is e-government phenomenon that becomes background of this research while it has become trend in local government level to support two-ways communication with community.
The objective of this research is to know how effective delivering headlines news in website www.sumedang.go.id by local government of Sumedang district.
Problem identification of this research are how credible of communicator in delivering headline news through website www.sumedang.go.id in the year 2007, how the content of delivering news in headlines news through website www.sumedang.go.id in the year 2007, how about media characteristics that used in delivering news in headlines news through website www.sumedang.go.id in the year 2007.
The method used in this research is descriptive where the researcher only observed and illustrated the result of this research. Technique to determine informant is by using purposive and the research has determined five people as an informant. Technique to gather data is deep interview and literature study.
Base on the research result that has been done, the communicator credibility in delivering headline news through www.sumedang.go.id is quite exactly to the goal and the media characteristic used in delivering headline news is quite effective.
The research has suggested local government of Sumedang district to take officer in website page training so it will be more attractive. Beside, suggestion box space in the website needs to be larger so the community easier to delivering aspiration also input to local government.
