Information panels in a museum are the media to give information about the exhibited objects. The texts on the information panels written in bilingual language, usually use the national language and its English translation. This research is about error analysis of translation texts printed on the information panels of Museum Geologi Bandung. Some of the Indonesian texts are not translated into English properly. The model of error analysis from Keshavarz (1993) and one type of error from ATA (2010) were applied to identify the errors that occurred. The results showed that over two-third of the target texts contain either grammatical, semantic, pragmatic or incomplete passage errors. Grammatical errors are the most error found. This indicates that knowledge on linguistic aspects, especially grammar, is important to produce good translation.
