Sekolah menengah Gerehu terletak di ibu kota Papua Nugini, Port Moresby. Ini adalah salah satu sekolah menengah beberapa dengan sejumlah besar siswa yang mendaftar setiap tahun. Dalam kebanyakan kasus, siswa dikenakan absen karena beberapa alasan pribadi yang mengakibatkan kinerja akademis yang buruk karena kehadiran sangat penting dalam setiap siswa di mana tidak ada satu perbedaan besar di sekolah. Kami masih pergi dengan cara tradisional menginformasikan orang tua dan menghasilkan laporan kartu yang dalam beberapa kasus mengambil waktu dan orang tua tidak bisa bertemu. Dalam rangka memfasilitasi dan mempermudah tindakan ini salah satu alat utama adalah memiliki sistem otomatis manajemen sekolah di tempat untuk Sekolah Menengah Gerehu. Monitoring Mahasiswa Sistem berbasis Web (SMS) dari Sekolah Menengah Gerehu diusulkan oleh peneliti pada dasarnya adalah untuk memantau absensi siswa dan perilaku siswa di sekolah. Sistem ini adalah sistem build berbasis web pada platform berorientasi objek dan menggunakan bahasa pemodelan terpadu (UML). Harapan dari sistem ini adalah untuk memungkinkan para pemangku kepentingan seperti; administrasi, orang tua dan komunitas sekolah untuk melihat secara online laporan kehadiran calon siswa menggunakan Web-browser yang memungkinkan mereka untuk membuat keputusan yang paling informasi.

Gerehu Secondary school is located in the capital city of Papua New Guinea, Port Moresby. It is one of the few Secondary school with a huge number of students enrolling every year. In most cases, students are subjected to absences due to some personal reasons which resulted in poor academic performance because attendance is very important in every student in which a single absent is a big difference in a school. We still go by the traditional way of informing parents and produce report cards that in some case take up time and parents canÃât meet up. In order to facilitate and simplify these actions one of the major tool is to have automated school management system in place for Gerehu Secondary School. The Web-based Student Monitoring System (SMS) of Gerehu Secondary School proposed by researcher is basically to monitor student absenteeism and behavior of the student in the school. This system is a web-based system build on the platform of object-oriented and using the unified modeling language (UML). The expectation of this system is to allow stakeholders such as; administration, parents and school community to view online the attendance report of the prospective student using Web-browser to enable them to make a most informed decision.
