The aims of this research is to know the correlation between Journalist Personal backgrounds with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic code in Galamedia daily news
The research type is quantitative. Method used on this research is co relational method that is a method that aims to know how far a variation is connecting with other variation. The data collecting are interview, spreading questioner, and library research. The sampling technique is sample using with census method. The data analyze using Pearson correlation with SPSS v12 method.
The research result shown that the Correlations of Religiosity with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code equal to 6,55%, the Correlations of Education with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code equal to5,19%, the Correlations of Organization with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code equal to to 3,49%, the Correlations of life experience with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code equal to 3,49%, the Correlations of Salary with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code equal to 0,435%, the Correlations of law (reward and punishment) with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code equal to 0,072%. So generally the correlation of personal background journalist to the loyalty of Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code in Galamedia daily news equal to 5,29%.
From the result data processing and hypothesis examination show that H0 is accepted and H1 is refused. Its mean there are no correlations between Personal Backgrounds journalist with the loyalty to Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code .
Suggestion for the company to increase the frequency of the training for the journalist, so they can understand content of the Indonesian Journalist Ethic Code.
