Kota Bandung merupakan salah satu kota tujuan wisata bagi turis dalam maupun luar negeri. Keindahan yang dimiliki kota Bandung mulai dari kuliner, fashion, wisata memberikan daya tarik yang berbeda bagi setiap turis untuk berlibur ke kota Bandung. Bagi setiap turis yang baru mengenal wilayah kota Bandung dirasa sangat menyulitkan dengan mendapatkan informasi dan data mengenai lokasi-lokasi yang ingin dikunjungi. Pemandu turis(tour guide) dapat menjadi solusi bagi para turis yang baru mengenal wilayah Bandung agar dapat memberikan informasi-informasi umum yang dibutuhkan para turis, tetapi informasi yang diberikan pemandu turis belum tentu sesuai dengan informasi yang dibutuhkan turis tersebut. Salah satu solusi untuk memperoleh informasi selain melalui pemandu turis yaitu dengan diterapkannya teknologi augmented reality pada aplikasi mobile, sehingga informasi alternatif selain melalui pemandu turis dapat terpenuhi dengan baik. Teknologi augmented reality yang diterapkan tidak menggunakan marker, melainkan menggunakan konsep markerless(tanpa marker) dengan teknik GPS based tracking. Teknologi handphone khususnya smartphone yang sudah berkembang pesat saat ini, mempermudah implementasi augmented reality dikarenakan setiap smartphone yang ada sekarang sudah diintegrasikan dengan GPS, yang kemudian GPS tersebut digunakan sebagai pengembangan metode augmented reality dalam memberikan navigasi terhadap lokasi sekitar. Hasil uji dari aplikasi Bandug Tour Guide ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini mudah digunakan oleh pengguna, data-data yang ditampilkan mudah diperoleh dan memudahkan pengguna dalam menentukan lokasi yang ingin dituju melalui augmented reality serta bermanfaat bagi pariwisata. Dengan demikian aplikasi Bandung Tour Guide ini dapat menjadi alternatif lain bagi para turis untuk memperoleh informasi.
Ringkasan Alternatif
Bandung city is one of the excursion destination city for domestic and foreign tourist. The sublimity that Bandung city had started from culinary, fashion, and tourism that give a different attraction for tourist to have a vacation in Bandung. For each tourist that newly know Bandung, they feel very difficult to get the information and data about location that they want to visit. Tourist guides can be a solution for the tourists that new in the area of Bandung with order to provide general information tourists needed, but the role of tourist guides may not be able to meet the needs and desires of tourists. One of the solution to replace the role of tourist guides is apply application of augmented reality technology in the mobile application so that the general information needed by the tourists can be properly fulfilled. Augmented reality technology is applied not use markers, but uses the concept of markerless (without marker) with GPS-based tracking techniques. Mobile technology, especially smartphone is already present, facilitate the implementation of augmented reality because every smartphone that there is now integrated with GPS, then GPS is used as the development of augmented reality to provide a method for navigating around the user location. The test results of the application Bandung Tour Guide indicates that the application is easy to use by the user, the data shown are easy to obtain and allows users to specify the location that want to target through augmented reality and benefit to tourism. Thus Bandung Tour Guide application may be another alternative for tourists to obtain information.
