Provinsi Jawa Barat merupakan salah satu provinsi tujuan wisata bagi wisatawan dalam maupun luar negeri. Bagi setiap wisatawan yang baru mengunjungi provinsi Jawa Barat akan mengalami kesulitan untuk mendapatkan informasi dan data mengenai lokasi-lokasi yang menarik. Jasa pemandu dapat menjadi solusi bagi para turis agar dapat memberikan informasi-informasi umum yang dibutuhkan, tetapi informasi yang diberikan pemandu belum tentu sesuai dengan informasi yang dibutuhkan wisatawan tersebut. Solusi untuk memandu wisatawan agar mendapatkan informasi yang sesuai yaitu aplikasi pemandu kota berbasis mobile Android dengan mengimplementasikan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) yang diintegrasikan dengan data POI (Point of Interrest) yang menampilkan posisi lokasi suatu objek dalam bentuk icon atau simbol secara reality dari kamera smartphone. Aplikasi ini dirancang menggunakan metode Location Based Service (LBS) yaitu sebuah layanan yang memberikan informasi dimana posisi dan lokasi pengguna menjadi parameter utama. LBS akan diintegerasikan dengan Google Maps dan GPS (Global Positioning System) untuk mengetahui posisi pengguna dan mencari informasi tentang lokasi-lokasi yang hendak dikunjungi. Informasi yang diberikan kepada pengguna berdasarkan longitude dan lattitude tujuan pengguna.

Every tourist who visit West Java for the first time will find difficulty for get information and fact about the interest places in West Java. Tour guide can be solution for the tourist to provide general information required,but the information provided by the tour guide is not necessarily in accordance with the information required the tourist.The solution for the tourist to get appropriate information is city guide application android mobile based with applying Augmented Reality (AR). it is integrated with the POI (Point of Interest) data which showing of the location of an object in the form of icon or symbol in real from smartphone camera.This application designed using the Location Based Service (LBS) method. It is a service which give the information about where the user location be main measure. LBS will integrated with Google Map and GPS (Global Position System) for know user position and looking for the information about locations to be visited. The information given to the user based of longitude and latitude destination user.
