Genset merupakan salah satu alternatif catu daya darurat yang banyak digunakan sebagai catu daya cadangan saat terjadi gangguan pada catu daya utama untuk menyuplay beban. Untuk dapat mengoperasikan genset secara otomatis diperlukan alat yang dapat mendeteksi kondisi catu daya, baik dalam kondisi normal maupun saat terjadinya gangguan. Alat tersebut adalah Automatic Main Failure (AMF). Dalam mengatur kerja Genset, AMF dapat dikontrol oleh PLC dan HMI, tetapi dalam monitoring proses kerjanya masih kurang. Proyek akhir ini mengontrol dan memonitoring suatu simulator AMF yang dikontrol oleh PLC Omron type CPM2A dan dimonitoring oleh suatu perangkat lunak HMI Citect. Kontrol pada PLC Omron CPM2A tersebut dibuat dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak CX-Programmer. Selanjutnya, program tersebut dikomunikasikan dengan menggunakan 2 buah kabel serial RS232. Untuk monitoring pada HMI Citect dibuat monitoring plant, dengan layar 1 merupakan menu administrator sebagai pengakses untuk menuju layar 2 yang merupakan plant overview. Hasil proyek akhir ini dibuat sesuai dengan rancangan dan program PLC dapat bekerja dengan baik serta penggunaan program HMI Citect meningkatkan kinerja dari simulasi AMF karena HMI terbukti dapat melakukan monitoring dan kontrol terhadap plant dan dapat memberikan informasi penting ketika plant mengalami gangguan. Genset is one alternative emergency power supply which mostly used as a backup power supply when there is interference on the main power supply to supply the load. To be able to operate the generator automatically takes a tool that can detect the condition of the power supply, well under normal conditions and the time of the disturbance. The tool is Automatic Main Failure (AMF). In the working set Genset, AMF can be controlled by the PLC and HMI, but the monitoring process works is still lacking. The final project is to control and monitor an AMF simulator controlled by PLC Omron type CPM2A and monitored by a HMI Citect software. Omron PLC Control on CPM2A were made using CX-Programmer software. Furthermore, the program is communicated with using 2 RS232 serial cable. HMI Citect for monitoring the plant monitoring is made, the first screen is the menu for the administrator as an accessor to the screen 2 which is a plant overview. The results of this final project is made in accordance with the design and PLC program can work well and use HMI Citect programs improve the performance of simulation proved the AMF as HMI can monitor and control the plant and can provide important information when the plant experienced a disruption Keywords: Simulator AMF, PLC, HMI, Citect.
