Perusahaan publik merupakan perusahaan yang modalnya berasal dari investor (pemegang saham). Sebagai perusahaan publik, kinerja perusahaan tidak lagi hanya dipertanggung jawabkan ke pihak intern perusahaan, melainkan juga pada investor sebagai penyedia dana. Untuk mengukur kinerja perusaan tersebut dapat dihitung dengan menggunakan Return On Eqity (ROE). ROE mempunyai hubungan positif dengan laba. Besarnya laba dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya Working Capital Turn Over (WCTO). Tugas akhir ini berjudul "Mengukur Kinerja Perusahaan dari Segi Working Capital Turn Over (WCTO) Pengaruhnya Terhadap Return On Equity (ROE) pada Sektor Pertanian Yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Periode 2008 -2011" bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan WCTO dan ROE serta pengaruh WCTO terhadap ROE pada perusahaan pertanian yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2008-2011. Pada penelitian kali ini variabel yang dipilih sebagai variabel bebas (independen (X) ) adalah WCTO, sedangkan yang menjadi variabel terikatnya (dependen (Y) ) adalah ROE. Dari hasil pengolahan data maka didapat hasil WCTO rata-rata perusahaan sektor pertanian yang terdaftar di BEI untuk tahun 2008 adalah -38,23% sedangkan untuk ROE rata-ratanya adalah 25,47%. Berdasarkan uji normalitas data diperoleh nilai sig 0,965 yang berarti nilai tersebut >0,05 mencerminkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Untuk analisis korelasi menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang rendah dan signifikan dari modal kerja terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan, karena hasi pearson correlation menunjukan nilai 0,389*, sedangkan nilai signya kurang dari 0,05 yaitu 0,001. Dari hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana diperoleh formula Y=11,719+0,006X yang berarti setiap perubahan WCTO 1% memberikan pengaruh terhadap perubahan ROE sebesar 0,006%. Sedangkan kontribusi modal kerja terhadap ROE pada penelitian kali ini adalah 15,1% yang diperoleh dari analisis koefisien determinasi. Karena t hitung yang diperoleh dari analisis regresi adalah 3,558 > dari t tabel yaitu 1,99394, maka Ho diterima, membuktikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan diantara WCTO dan ROE perusahaan.

Public company is a company whose capital comes from investors (shareholders). As a public company, the company's performance is no longer accountable only to the company's internal, but also as a provider of funds to the investor. To measure the performance of the company can be calculated by using Return On Equity (ROE). ROE has a positive relationship with profits. The profits are influenced by several factors one of which Working Capital Turn Over (WCTO). Final project with title "Measuring Corporate Performance Aspects of Working Capital Turn Over (WCTO) Effect on Return On Equity (ROE) in the Agricultural Sector Registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2008-2011" aims to determine the development and WCT and ROE, WCTO influence on ROE in the agricultural company listed on the Stock Exchange the period 2008-2011. In the present study was the variable chosen as the independent variable (the independent (X)) is the WCTO, while the dependent variable (the dependent (Y)) is a profitability ratio represented by the ROE. From the results of data processing then we got the result that the WCTO of the average agricultural company listed on the Stock Exchange for the year 2008 was -38,23% while the average ROE is 25,47%. Based on data normality test results obtained for the sig is 0.965 which means the value is >0.05 reflects that the data is normally distributed. For the correlation analysis shows that there is a strong enough influence and significance of working capital to the company's profitability, because hasi Pearson correlation 0.389 * indicates the value, while values less than 0.05 signya is 0.001. From the results of simple linear regression analysis obtained by the formula Y = 11,719 +0.006 X which means that every 1% change in WCTO to give effect to changes in the ROE of 0,006 %.While the contribution of WCTO on ROE in the current study was 15,1% obtained from analysis of the coefficient of determination. Since t count obtained from the regression analysis is 3,558> t tables of is 1,99394, so Ho is received, proving that there is a significant influence among the WCTO and ROE.
