Saat ini penggunaan teknologi informatika sudah merupakan salah satu kebutuhan yang sangat penting untuk diterapkan pada berbagai sektor di sebuah instansi, baik instansi swasta maupun instansi pemerintahan. Pekerjaan yang biasanya dilakukan secara manual oleh manusia, semakin cepat dan efisien jika dilakukan dengan sistem komputerisasi. Teknologi komputer yang berkembang dengan pesat dapat menghemat ruang, waktu, tenaga, dan juga biaya. Demikian juga dengan beberapa sekolah mulai melirik penggunaan sistem komputerisasi untuk merampingkan proses kinerja para tenaga kerja di sekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu pihak sekolah dalam proses peminatan siswa kelas X untuk memilih program pilihan minatnya dalam memperoleh jurusan ilmu pengetahuan alam, ilmu sosial ketika siswa diterima di kelas X di sekolah tersebut. Pengolahan data sistem akan memberikan nilai akademik output dari prediksi siswa sesuai dengan kemampuan yang dicapai melalui perolehan nilai Raport SMP, Nilai UN SMP, Placement Test, Hasil Psikotest, Minat Siswa, dan Dukungan Orang Tua sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam pemilihan minat jurusannya. Dengan dukungan sistem berbasis komputerisasi ini , dapat mengubah cara kerja yang lebih mudah, efisien, dan efektif, dibandinkan dengan cara kerja sistem manual sebelumnya. Perkembangan teknologi modern ini akan menciptakan sistem lingkungan kerja yang lebih baik, lebih efektif dan lebih produktif dalam mengambil keputusan.

Today the use of information technology has become a very important requirement to be applied to the various sectors in an institution, both private institution and government one. The work usually done manually will be faster and more efisient if it is done computer. Computer technology which develops fast can save space, time, energy, and also budget. Likewise, the number of schools begin to look to use a computerized system to streamlin the performance of the labor process in the school. . This study aims to assist the school in the process of specialization class X to select the program option interest in acquiring majors natural science, social science when students are admitted to the school in the tenth grade. The data processing system will provide the academic value of output of the prediction of students in accordance with the capability achieved through the acquisition value of report cards SMP, SMP value, Placement Test, Psychological Test Results, StudentsÃâ Interests and ParentsÃâ Support as consideration in the selection of their major interests. With the support of this computerized system, the way of work is easier, more efficient, and more effective compared to the workings of the previous manual system. The development of modern technology, the system of working environ-ment will be better, more effective and more productive in making decisions.
