The purpose of this research is to know how far the objectivity crime news writing in Headline Galamedia daily news these evaluated from the Accuracy, relevancy, balance, and neutrality of news.
This research used descriptive method with quantitative. The data collecting in this research used interview, analyzing news content, and improve literature study. The sampling technique in this research used simple random sampling. The number of populated more 71 crime news writing in Headline Galamedia daily news in December edition 2006. the samples of these research is 38 news.
The result of this research passed coding conducted by three coding maker where accuracy of crime news in Headline Galamedia daily news have as according to accuracy of news counted 97.4 % and only 2.6 % which disagree with accuracy of news. Besides, coding maker agree that Galamedia not yet can present relevant crime news with requirement of his reader, where 81.6 % news of it irrelevant and only 18.4 % relevant news. For balance in news, 60.5 % well-balanced news and 39.5 is % uneven. News Neutrality at writing of crime news, 92.1 % news of it neutral and 7.9 % is not neutral.
Conclusion from result of research as a whole show objectivity principle at writing of crime news in headline have been applied by Galamedia daily news, despite of some of small result of which disagree with objectivity principle.
Utilize to make crime news which objective fully, hence one of the element which still seen less like relevancy news can be immediately fulfilled to support objective principle.
