Pariwisata telah dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumber devisa bagi negara. Hal ini semakin diperkuat dengan meningkatnya jumlah wisatawan atau traveler baik domestik maupun mancanegara setiap tahunnya. Namun demikian traveler tidak lepas dari beberapa masalah, seperti sulitnya untuk tetap berkomunikasi dengan orang terdekat ataupun keperluan bagi orang terdekat untuk memantau keberadaan dari traveler itu sendiri, kesulitan mencari bantuan saat kehilangan tanda pengenal ataupun surat-surat perjalanan dan juga untuk memfasilitasi warga lokal untuk dapat ikut berinteraksi dengan para traveler. Selain itu traveler juga membutuhkan beberapa informasi dasar mengenai wilayah destinasi untuk bisa melindungi dirinya, seperti letak kedutaan, kantor polisi, rumah sakit, stasiun kereta, serta bandara terdekat. Untuk itu diperlukan sebuah solusi yang mampu mencangkup semua permasalah tersebut. Pada skripsi ini penulis membahas masalah yang dialami traveler dengan pendekatan dari segi keamanan. Platform yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah android dengan pertimbangan bahwa saat ini android memiliki market share sebesar 70% dari seluruh perangkat pintar yang diaktifkan. Bedasarkan pengujian dengan menggunakan metode pengujian black box dan acceptance, perangkat lunak keamanan traveler telah mempermudah traveler dalam mengetahui lokasi traveler, informasi tempat-tempat penting dan venue yang tepat.

Tourism has been used as a source of income for the country. This was strengthened by the increasing number of tourists or travelers, both domestic or foreign tourists every year. However, a traveler can not be separated from some problems, such as the difficulty to stay in touch with the close relative or inversa to monitor the location of the traveler itself, difficult to find help when lost identification card or travel documents and also to facilitate local residents to be able make an interaction with the travelers. Additionally traveler also need some basic information about the destination area to protect themselves, such as the location of embassies, police stations, hospitals, train, and the nearest airport. A solution needed to covers all of these problems. In this paper the authors discuss the problems that experienced by traveler with the security approach. The platform used in this study is an android with the consideration that the current android has a market share of 70% of all smart devices that are enabled. By using black box testing methods and acceptance methods, traveler security software enables a traveler to know the location of a traveler, information of important places and the proper venue.
