Penelitian ini dilakukan di Hotel Grand Royal Panghegar Bandung. Hotel Grand Royal Panghegar Bandung belum memiliki metode baku dalam perhitungan harga pokok untuk menentukan harga jual per kamar. Dalam perhitungan harga pokok per kamarnya, pihak manajemen tidak menghitung seluruh biaya overhead, maka hasil perhitungannya menjadi tidak akurat. Ada 2 (dua) sistem perhitungan biaya yaitu sistem konvensional dan sistem Activity Based Costing (ABC). Sistem ABC merupakan sistem yang menelusuri biaya ke aktivitas. Sistem ABC dapat menghitung biaya lebih akurat dibanding dengan sistem konvensional. Sistem ABC juga dapat memberikan informasi lebih banyak yang dapat digunakan manajemen dalam mengambil keputusan. Sistem ABC dilakukan dengan dua tahap, tahap pertama adalah tahap- tahap pembebanan biaya overhead pada ABC system: biaya overhead dibebankan pada aktivitas-aktivitas yang sesuai, biaya-biaya aktivitas tersebut dikelompokkan dalam beberapa cost pool yang homogen, menentukan tarif untuk masing-masing kelompok (cost pool), sedangkan tahap kedua adalah biaya-biaya aktivitas dibebankan ke produk berdasarkan konsumsi atau permintaan aktivitas oleh masing-masing produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan dan menganalisis perhitungan harga pokok per kamar sampel. Sampel yang dipakai adalah kamar tipe Deluxe Condotel di Hotel Grand Royal Panghegar Bandung. Metode pengumpulan data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil perhitungan dengan sistem ABC lebih tinggi, hal ini menunjukkan keakuratan perhitungan biaya. Walaupun hasil perhitungan harga pokok per kamar menjadi lebih tinggi dan membuat harga jual menjadi tinggi pula, tetapi sistem ini akan mendatangkan keuntungan jangka panjang yaitu meminimalisasi distorsi. This research is done in Hotel Grand Royal Panghegar Bandung. Hotel Grand Royal Panghegar Bandung does not have a standard method yet in calculating the main cost to determine the selling price per room. In calculating the main cost per room, the management does not calculate all the overhead costs, so the result is not accurate. There are two kinds of cost calculating systems, conventional system and Activity Based Costing (ABC) system. The ABC system is a system that is tracing cost to the activity. It can calculate the cost more accurate than the conventional system. The ABS system also can give more information that can be used by the management in taking the decision. There are two steps in ABC system, the first step is the cost overhead charged steps to the ABC system: overhead cost is charged to the correct activations, the activationÃâs costs are divided into several same cost pool, deciding the price for each group (cost pool), and then the second step is activityÃâs costs are charged to the product based on consumption or demand by each products. This research used and analyzed the calculation of the main cost per sample room. Sample, which is used, is a Deluxe Condotel type in Hotel Grand Royal Panghegar Bandung. The methods in collecting data are interviewing and documenting. The result of calculating by the ABC system is higher; this is showing about the accurateness of the calculating cost. Although the result is becoming higher and making the selling price is high, this system has a long term benefit that is minimize distortion.
