Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauhmana pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan situasional pemimpin redaksi bidang pemberitaan Lembaga Penyiaran Publik (LPP) RRI Bandung terhadap motivasi kerja wartawannya, sehingga untuk menjawab masalah diatas peneliti menganalisa telling directing, selling- coaching, participating- supporting, delegating, kebutuhan akan keberadaan, kebutuhan untuk berhubungan dengan pihak lain, dan kebutuhan akan pertumbuhan.
Tipe penelitian adalah kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan menggunakan teknik analisis korelasional. Unit sampling adalah wartawan LPP RRI Bandung yang berjumlah 29 wartawan. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket, wawancara, studi kepustakaan, dan studi internet. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel digunakan koefisien korelasi Rank Spearman.
Hasil penelitian dari uji statistik menunjukkan telling-directing terhadap motivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,681, selling-coaching terhadap motivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,723 , participating-supporting terhadap motivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,757 , dan delegating terhadap motivasi kerja dengan korelasi sebesar 0,782. Sedangkan untuk gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kebutuhan akan keberadaan wartawan cukup berarti dengan korelasi sebesar 0,639 , gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kebutuhan untuk berhubungan dengan pihak lain dikatakan mempunyai pengaruh besar dengan korelasi sebesar 0,742 , gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kebutuhan akan pertumbuhan wartawan cukup besar dengan korelasi sebesar 0,484.
Hasil pengolahan data dan pengujian hipotesis, mengisyaratkan bahwa H1 ditolak, dengan demikian hipotesis konseptual (hipotesis penelitian) Ho diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan yang dilakukan pemimpin redaksi bidang pemberitaan LPP RRI Bandung mempunyai pengaruh yang kuat, signifikan, dan searah terhadap motivasi kerja wartawannya
Saran yang dapat disampaikan pada penelitian ini adalah agar gaya kepemimpinan yang digunakan pemimpin redaksi dapat dipertahankan, yaitu dengan terus menjaga kebersamaan dan silaturahmi dilingkungan kerja.

This research aim to know how far influence the situational leadership style of the news editor part of reported at Cooperated Broadcasting of Public (LPP) RRI Bandung to motivated work their journalist. So that to reply the problem of above researcher analyze the story; telling-directing, selling- coaching, participating- supporting, delegating, existence needs, relatedness needs, and growth needs. Research type is quantitative. Research method used is survey by using correlationsional analyze technique. Sampling unit is journalist of Cooperated Broadcasting of Public (LPP) RRI Bandung amounting 29 journalist. Data collected by passing questionnaire spreading, interview, bibliography studi, and internet study. Technique analyze the data used to see the relations of among variable used by correlations coefficient of Rank Spearman. Result of research from pursuant to test statistic show telling-directing to motivated work with the correlation of equal to 0,681, selling- coaching to motivated work with the correlation of equal to 0, 723 , participating- supporting to motivated work with the correlation of equal to 0,757 , delegating to motivated work with the correlation of equal to 0,782. While for leadership style to existence needs journalist it is enough of optimal with the correlation of equal to 0,639 , leadership style to relatedness needs journalist it is have big influence with the correlations of equal to 0,742 , leadership style to growth needs journalist enough of large with the correlation of equal to 0,484. Result of data processing and hypothesis examinating , signing that H1 refused, so that conceptual hypothesis (reachercher hypothesis) is Ho accepted. Research conclution show that the leadership style of the news editor part of reported at Cooperated Broadcasting of Public (LPP) RRI Bandung have influence of strong, significant, and direct to motivated work their journalist. Suggestion which can be submitted at this research is to be leadership style which used news editor can to keeped, with keep in thought together and relationship in works environment.
