ABSTRACT Company which go public in Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) noted by counted approximately 390 company, including 11 company is blue chips company. Population of emiten blue chips to entire/all public company [in] Jakarta Stock Exchange only about 2,82051%, but affect the attendance blue chips to our capital market in reality very big. Height of price of share and society enthusiasm in the buying and selling share blue chips will have an effect on to value of capitalization of market and composite index. Pursuant to mentioned, hence writer will study the problem "Influence of fluctuation of price of blue chips shares to composite index in Jakarta Stock Exchange". Target of this research is to lay open the relation between fluctuation of price blue chips shares and composite, to know how big influence of fluctuation of price blue chips shares to composite in JSX, and to know how big contribution of variation of price blue chips shares can explain the variation of composite. Research method taken by using analysis correlation that is with the correlation or connecting between independent variable with the variable dependent to be taken by conclusion. As for hypothesis to be tested by fluctuation of price of blue chips shares will have an effect on big to fluctuating its composite equally fluctuation of price blue chips shares. To test the hypothesis raised in research used by double analysis regresi with the test t to see the storey;signification level, and also correlation coefficient to test how far the influence as well as seeing at coefficient of determination and writer use the software SPSS version 11.00 as a means of analyse the data. From result which process by using software SPSS version 11.00 got that fluctuation of price blue chips shares really having an effect on by significant to composite.
