Penelitian ini dilakukan pada pemilik atau manager usaha sepatu yang ada di Sentra UKM Sepatu Cibaduyut. Fenomena yang terjadi adalah terjadi penurunan pendapatan atau keuntungan para pengusaha sepatu di Sentra UKM Sepatu Cibaduyut sehingga menimbulkan terjadinya penurunan jumlah pengusaha. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kompetensi wirausaha dan orientai pasar terhadap kinerja bisnis Sentra UKM Sepatu Cibaduyut.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumen yang berjumlah 828 pada periode 2007-2011 dengan sampel sebanyak 100 responden. Pengujian statistik yang digunakan adalah perhitungan korelasi person, analisis jalur, korelasi, koefisien determinasi, uji hipotesis, dan juga menggunakan penghitungan statistik dengan bantuan program aplikasi SPSS 18.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja bisnis usaha sepatu di Sentra UKM Sepatu Cibaduyut secara keseluruhan termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi/baik, namun indikator Financial Competence, dan Human relation competence masih kurang baik. Pengaruh kompetensi wirausaha terhadap orientasi pasar berdampak positif dan signifikan yaitu 53,1%, begitu pula pengaruh kompetensi wirausaha terhadap kinerja bisnis berdampak positif dan signifikan yaitu 29,2%, serta pengaruh orientasi pasar terhadap kinerja bisnis berdampak positif dan signifikan yaitu dengan kontribusi sebesar 34,2%. Kemudian dampak secara secara simultan berdampak positif dan signifikan yaitu 63,4%. Hal ini berarti kompetensi wirausaha dan orientasi pasar mampu mampu meningkatkan kinerja bisnis pengusaha sepatu di Sentra UKM Sepatu Cibaduyut semakin tinggi/baik.
