Penelitian ini dilakukan pada para pengrajin di sentra Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) Rajutan Binong Jati Bandung. Fenomena yang terjadi adalah adanya zona perdagangan bebas (AFCTA), dimana produk-produk impor dari negara lain berkembang di indonesia sehingga berdampak pada industri kecil. Salah satu sentra yang terkena dampak langsung dengan adanya kebijakan AFCTA tersebut adalah sentra IKM Rajutan Binong Jati Bandung yang harus bersaing dengan produk impor yang lebih murah dan berkualitas. Faktor lain yang menyebabkan terhambatnya proses produksi rajutan di Binong Jati adalah naiknya harga bahan baku benang wol, naiknya tarif dasar listrik, sehingga menghambat aktifitas perusahaan. Ada beberapa strategi yang bisa dilakukan agar proses produksi meningkat, yaitu misalnya membuat produk rajutan baru yang di desain dengan menambahkan aksen kain biasa atau menambahkan acessories lain sehingga hasil produk rajutan berbeda dengan yang lainnya. Memperluas wilayah distribusi dan pemasaran. Namun para pengrajin di sentra IKM rajutan Binong Jati Bandung masih belum berani untuk melakukan hal tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh lingkungan internal dan eksternal terhadap kinerja usaha. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif (deskriptif) dan kuantitatif (verifikatif). Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah para pengrajin yang ada pada sentra IKM Rajutan Binong Jati Bandung yang berjumlah 200 usaha dengan sampel sebanyak 67 responden. Pengujian statistik yang digunakan adalah perhitungan korelasi pearson, analisis regresi, korelasi, koefisien determinasi, uji hipotesis, dan juga menggunakan bantuan program aplikasi SPSS 19.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan internal di IKM Rajutan Binong Jati Bandung secara keseluruhan termasuk dalam kriteria cukup mendukung. Sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti jiwa kewirausahaan, inovasi, motivasi. Pengaruh lingkungan internal dan eksternal berdampak positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha pada sentra Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) rajutan Binong Jati Bandung. Artinya semakin lingkungan internal dan eksternal mendukung, maka semakin tinggi kinerja usahanya

The method used in this study is a method of qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative (verifikatif).
