Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Perusahaan Otomotif yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2012-2014. Fenomena yang terjadi adalah return on equity dan earning per share mengalami kenaikan namun tidak diikuti dengan kenaikan harga saham, begitu pula sebaliknya penurunan return on equity dan earning per share tidak diikuti dengan penurunan harga saham. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh return on equity dan earning per share terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan Otomotif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan Otomotif yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama 3 tahun berjumlah 36 laporan keuangan sebagai sampel. Pengujian statistik yang digunakan adalah perhitungan koefisien determinasi, uji hipotesis, dan juga menggunkan bantuan program aplikasi SPSS 17.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa return on equity berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap harga saham dan earning per share berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap harga saham pada perusahaan Otomotif.
Ringkasan Alternatif
This research was conducted at Automotive Company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2014. The phenomenon that occurs is the return on equity and earnings per share increased but not followed by a rise in stock prices, and vice versa decline in return on equity and earnings per share are not followed by a decline in stock prices. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of return on equity and earnings per share to the stock price on the company's Automotive. The method used in this research is descriptive and verification methods. The unit of analysis in this study is the annual financial statements Automotive companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the three years of the 36's financial statements as a sample. The test statistic used is the calculation of the coefficient of determination, hypothesis testing, and also use the help of an application program SPSS 17.0 for Windows. The results showed that the return on equity has a significant positive effect on stock prices and earnings per share positive significant effect on the price of shares in the company Automotive.
