Tugas Akhir (TA) adalah salah satu mata kuliah yang harus ditempuh oleh mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Bandung (POLBAN) sebagai salah satu syarat kelulusan. Pada mata kuliah ini, tidak hanya kelompok TA yang berperan, namun juga terdapat peran penting dari koordinator TA yang bertugas mengelola pelaksanaan TA agar berjalan dengan lancar. Pada saat proses pelaksanaan TA, koordinator sering menjumpai beberapa kendala yaitu terjadinya inkonsistensi data pada data terkait TA yang dikelola, tidak sampainya informasi terkait pelaksanaan TA yang diberikan koordinator ke pihak yang terkait, dan adanya penguji dan pembimbing TA yang terlambat dalam menyerahkan nilai dan catatan seminar dan sidang TA, sehingga semua itu menyebabkan koordinator harus bekerja lebih keras. Berdasarkan semua kendala tersebut, dibuatlah sebuah sistem pengelolaan pelaksanaan TA di POLBAN dengan lingkup pengerjaan untuk TA program studi Diploma III di Jurusan Teknik Komputer, yang bertujuan untuk mengatasi semua kendala tersebut. Sistem ini dibuat dengan mengadopsi pengelolaan TA berdasarkan panduan resmi yang sudah ada dan dengan mengubah metode penginputan, validasi dan penyimpanan data, dan metode pemberitahuan dan reminder. Sistem ini diimplementasikan ke dalam bentuk web based application dengan menggunakan pendekatan object oriented programming (OOP) dan framework CodeIgniter. Final Project (FP) is one of the courses that must be taken by the students of Bandung State Polytechnic (POLBAN) as a requirement of graduation. On this course, not only the FP teams that have the role, but there are also an important role of the FP coordinators who have the role to manage the FP implementation in order to make it run smoothly. During the process of FP implementation, the coordinators often encounter several obstacles, such as the occurrence of data inconsistency in the managed data related to the FP implementation, the occurrence of unsent information related to the FP implementation given by the coordinators to related parties, and the occurrence of lateness done by the FP examiner and adviser when submitting the assessment result and record of the FP seminar and defense. So that all these obstacles lead the coordinators to work harder.Based on all these obstacles, we built a system for the management of FP implementation in POLBAN with the work scope for the Final Project of Diploma III study program in Computer Science Department, which aims to resolve all the obstacles.This system is built by adopting the FP management based on existing official guidelines and by changing the method of data input, data validation, data storage, and information notification and reminder. This system is implemented into a web-based application using object oriented programming (OOP) approach and CodeIgniter framework.
