Penelitian yang dilandasi dengan latar belakang pembelajaran yang digunakan guru masih konvensional, yaitu dengan cara guru memberikan materi, diberikan contoh soal, dan selanjutnya diberikan latihan soal semakin menguatkan anggapan siswa bahwa matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sulit terutama materi limit fungsi. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya persiapan guru sebelum melaksanakan pembelajaran yang sering kita sebut dengan perangkat pembelajaran.
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana proses dan hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran limit fungsi dengan pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) di kelas X SMKN 5 Jember tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang berkualitas baik? Dan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan merchandising perangkat pembelajaran limit fungsi dengan pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) di kelas X SMKN 5 Jember tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang berkualitas baik.
Kriteria perangkat pembelajaran yang berkualitas baik adalah: (1) valid berdasarkan penilaian para ahli/pakar, (2) efektif untuk aktivitas siswa yang diperoleh dengan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, (3) efektif untuk kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran yang diperoleh dengan lembar observasi kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, (4) positif untuk respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang diperoleh dengan angket respon siswa, (5) ketuntasan hasil belajar.
Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMKN 5 Jember pada bulan April 2016. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa yang ada di kelas X TKJ 1 yang dipilih peneliti secara acak. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran limit fungsi dengan pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) di kelas X SMKN 5 Jember. Model pengembangan perangkat yang digunakan adalah model 4-D yang telah dimodifikasi. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Handout, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), dan Tes Hasil Belajar (THB).
Berdasarkan hasil analisis pada tahap pengembangan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran limit fungsi dengan pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) berkualitas baik, karena memenuhi kriteria perangkat pembelajaran yang berkualitas baik.

Research which has a background that the instructional which is used by teacher is conventional, i.e. by giving materials, examples and studentÃâs worksheet. It makes students absolutely have a big perception that mathematics is a difficult subject especially for the limit function material. This is because of teacherÃâs lack of preparation before they teach their students as we called an instructional tool.
Problem of this research is what is the process and result of developing the limit function of an instructional tool by using The Realistic Mathematics Instructional Approach at Jember State Vocational High School 5 Grade X for Academic Year 2015/2016 has a good quality? The aim of this research is to describe the development process and produces the limit function of an instructional tool by using The Realistic Mathematics Instructional Approach at Jember State Vocational High School 5 Grade X for Academic Year 2015/2016 has a good quality.The criteria of an instructional tool which has a good quality is an instructional tool developed appropriately based on procedure of toolÃâs development and also has fulfill four of five criteria as notes that StudentÃâs Result Study must fulfill the validity, reliability, different power and achieved the achievement, i.e.: (1) it is valid according to experts; (2) it is effective for the studentÃâs activity which is known by a studentÃâs activity observation sheet; (3) it is effective for teacherÃâs ability in manage the instructional which is known by a teacherÃâs ability observation sheet in manage the instructional; (4) it is positive on studentÃâs response to the instructional which is known by a studentÃâs response questionnaire; (5) Achievement.
This research was hold at Jember State Vocational High School 5 in April, 2016. The subject of this research is 34 students at TKJ 1 grade X had been chosen randomly by researcher. Kind of this research is developing the limit function of an instructional tool research by using Realistic Mathematics Instructional Approach at Jember State Vocational High School 5 grade X.
