Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pada saat proses absensi Ujian Tengah Semester (UTS) dan Ujian Akhir Semester (UAS). Permasalahan dimulai saat proses absensi mahasiswa yang masih manual dan belum online/terkoneksi kedalam database.Penelitian ini bertujuan bagaimana sistem absensi mahasiswa secara online.Data yang akan digunakan nantinya adalah mahasiswa teknik informatika. Desain sistem yag anantinya akan dibuat adalah dengan menggunakan Scanner Qr Code dan Enkripsi data mengunakan sandi Vigenere cipher yang berbasis android.Penggunakan sistem apilkasi ini nantinya akan meliputi proses Scanning Qr Code,menyisipakan kode batang Qr Code kedalam kartu ujian mahasiswa. Kemudian pada aplikasi android nantinya akan menscan kode Qr Code tersebut. Pengujian yang akan digunakan untuk menguji kelayakan sistem dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan pengujian tingkat kesalahan sistem, black box testing.

Presence is one important factor in the world university. problem occur in a system that has been implemented is the collection of data present students do in the classroom, in which the Presence running system is still done manually, which collects all test cards and signed by the examiner and is still offline. Final Examination Semester (UAS) and the Middle Semester Exam (UTS) is a benchmark for the learning process of students at every level of education. Presence at the time the student attends UAS / UTS also play an important role in the learning process. A phone that has an operating system in it and can access the internet is one of the main characteristics of the Smartphone. The method used later is to utilize a barcode Qr Code with vigenere encryption cipher. Thus, the data in the form of nim will be encrypted automatically by the system and generate into Qr Code.Hasil of this research lecturer exam guards no longer sign the middle card End ofSemester (UAS) and the Middle Semester Exam (UTS), due to absenteeism directly using android with scan card the student exams.
