Audit operasional merupakan pengkajian atas setiap bagian dari prosedur dan metode yang diterapkan suatu organisasi dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi dan efektivitas. Di dalam suatu perusahaan terdapat berbagai jenis manajemen, diantaranya manajemen personalia. Manajemen personalia adalah bagian dari manajemen yang berkaitan dengan pengelolaan orang di tempat kerja. Audit operasional dapat dilakukan guna mengevaluasi berbagai fungsi, salah satunya fungsi manajemen personalia yang dimulai dari pengadaan SDM, pengembangan SDM, pemberian kompensasi, integrasi, pemeliharaan SDM, sampai dengan pemberhentian SDM. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada PT PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Barat dan Banten, yaitu salah satu perusahaan BUMN yang bergerak di bidang jasa kelistrikan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peranan audit operasional dalam menunjang efektivitas fungsi manajemen personalia pada PT PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Barat dan Banten. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengujian statistik yang digunakan adalah perhitungan koefisien korelasi Rank Spearman, koefisien determinasi, uji hipotesis dan juga menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 12.0 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa audit operasional berperan dalam menunjang efektivitas fungsi manajemen personalia pada PT PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Barat dan Banten. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari perhitungan statistik yang diperoleh angka koefisien korelasi Rank Spearman yang menunjukkan hubungan yang kuat dan positif, yaitu dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,734 serta diketahui H0 ada pada daerah penolakan berarti H1 diterima atau audit operasional mempunyai peranan yang signifikan dan positif terhadap fungsi manajemen personalia.

The operational audit is a study of each part of the procedure and method applied by an organization at aim to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness. In a company there are different types of management, among of them is personnel management. The personnel management are part of the management relating to the management of people in the workplace. The operational audit can be carried out for evaluating various functions, one of them is a personnel management function beginning from procurement of human resources, development of human resources, the provision of compensation, integration, maintenance of human resources, until the stoppage of human resources. This research has been carried out at PT PLN (Persero) Distribution West Java and Banten , that is one of the State Owned Company (BUMN) engaged in the field of electrical services. The objective of this research is to identify the role of operational audit in supporting the effectiveness of the personnel management function at PT PLN (Persero) Distribution West Java and Banten. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The statistic testing used is a calculation of Rank Spearman’s correlation coefficients, determination coefficients, hypothetical test and also using the application of SPSS 12.0 for windows. Based on the results of research, it can be know that the operational audit has a role in supporting the effectiveness of personnel management function at PT PLN (Persero) Distribution West Java and Banten. This can be seen from the statistic calculation obtained that rate of Rank Spearman’s correlation coefficient indicates a strong and positive relationship, that is by the rate of correlation coefficient at 0.734 as well as know H0 is in the rejecting area meaning H1 is accepted or the operational audit has a significant and positive role to the personnel management function.
