Kualitas beras yang baik akan mempunyai tampilan warna yang berkilau, dan baunya yang harum. Penyimpanan beras yang terlalu lama akan mempengaruhi perubahan suhu dan kelembaban di dalam tempat penyimpanannya. Perubahan suhu dan kelembaban ini akan berdampak pada perubahan kualitas beras yang menurun. Alangkah sangat efektif dan efisien bila dapat menampilkan volume beras yang tersisa dan dapat pula dikendalikan dari jarak jauh untuk keluaran beras serta sistem informasinya. Alat ini bekerja pada sebuah tempat penyimpanan beras yang dapat menjaga kualitas beras didalamnya. Alat ini dapat mempertahankan kondisi beras agar suhu tidak dingin dan lembab dengan sensor SHT 11. Alat ini pula dilengkapi dengan sistem pengadukan beras guna untuk menghindarkan first in first out sehingga beras tercampur dengan rata. Input untuk mengeluarkan beras bisa dilakukan dengan menekan salah satu tombol push button atau mengirimkan sms (short message service) ke modem GSM WAVECOM Fastrack. Sistem kendali jarak jauh dilakukan oleh handphone dan modem gsm. Sistem kendali jarak jauh ini dapat mengendalikan keluaran beras yang diingingkan, dan ada informasi-informasi yang secara langsung diterima oleh pengguna terutama suhu, kelembaban dan volume pada tempat penyimpanan beras. Sistem pengolahan data dengan mikrokontroler ATmega 16 sedangkan pendeteksian volume dalam penyimpanan menggunakan sensor ultrasonic SRF 054 Kata Kunci: Tempat Penyimpanan Beras, Kualitas Beras, Sistem Kendali Jarak Jauh, Mikrokontroler ATmega 16.

The good quality of rice has the sparkles color, and also the nice smell. Long storage of rice will affect the change of temperature and humidity inside the storage. This change of temperature and humidity will also impact the change of decreasing the rice quality. It would be very effective and efficient if the remaining volume of rice can be displayed and also be controlled remotely for the rice output with the information system. The tool works on the storage of the rice which can keep the quality of the rice inside. The tool can keep the condition of the rice so the temperature will not cold and humid using the SHT 11 censor. This tool is also completed with rice stirring system for avoiding first in first out so that the rice could be perfectly mixed. The input to take out the rice can be done by pushing one of the push button or sending the short message service (SMS) to GSM WAVECOM Fastrack modem. Remote control system is performed by mobile phone and GSM modem. This remote control system can controlled the output of rice that is wanted. There will be information which directly accepted by the user especially the temperature, humidity, and volume in the rice storage. The data processing used is microcontroller ATmega 16 while the volume detection inside the storage uses SRF 054 ultrasonic censor.
