Penelitian ini membahas tentang “Teori Evolusi Charles Darwin”. Teori evolusi Charles Darwin membahas mengenai perubahan makhluk hidup secara bertahap karena adanya faktor seleksi alam, adaptasi, atau variasi genetika. Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari persepsi siswa mengenai teori evolusi Charles Darwin yang dinyatakan sebagai teori asal-usul manusia adalah berasal dari kera. Karena melihat persepsi siswa yang berbeda dari apa yang Darwin rujuk dalam bukunya yaitu The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection tersebut, maka dilakukan serangkaian wawancara khususnya kepada siswa untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman mengenai teori evolusi Charles Darwin dari sebelum mempelajari di sekolah atau pun setelahnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kecendrungan masyarakat sudah mampu berfikir kritis terhadap teori evolusi Charles Darwin yang kontroversial setelah mempelajarinya khususnya siswa. Informasi yang didapat siswa dari sekolah dan luar sekolah ikut berperan serta dalam membangun pemahaman siswa terhadap teori evolusi. Untuk itu, dalam menyampaikan teori evolusi berdasarkan landasan informasi yang tepat, yang dapat membantu siswa dalam membangun sikap kritis, maka perlu dilakukan penginformasian tambahan melalui media penunjang pembelajaran di kelas yang mampu menambah daya tarik siswa dalam mempelajari teori evolusi. Sehingga diharapkan proses pembelajaran di kelas dalam memberi atau menerima informasi dapat berjalan lebih efektif.

This study discusses the "theory of evolution Charles Darwin". Charles Darwin's theory of evolution discussed the changes in living things gradually because of factors of natural selection, adaptation, or genetic variations. This research background of students' perceptions regarding the evolution theory of Charles Darwin's theory is expressed as the origin of man is descended from apes. Since seeing the students' perception different from what Darwin refers to in his book called The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, then do a series of interview especially to the students to determine the extent of understanding of the evolutionary theory of Charles Darwin before studying at school or anytime afterwards. The results showed that the tendency of the community has been able to think critical of controversial Charles Darwin's theory of evolution after learning especially students. Information obtained by the students of the school and out of school participate in building students' understanding of the theory of evolution. Therefore, in presenting the theory of evolution based on the right information, that can help students in build their critical attitude. It is necessary to add more information, through the media supporting learning in the classroom are able to increase the attractiveness of the students in the study of the theory of evolution. So expect the learning process in the classroom in giving or receiving information to operate more effectively.
