Knalpot merupakan alat yang memiliki fungsi untuk mengatur arah aliran gas hasil pembakaran agar dapat mengalir secara teratur. Selain itu knalpot memiliki fungsi sebagai peredam suara yang dihasilkan dari proses pembakaran bahan bakar yang berlangsung di dalam ruang bakar yang menghasilkan ledakan. Dengan melihat fungsi knalpot, maka knalpot merupakan alat yang sangat penting pada kendaraan bermotor. Selain itu knalpot akan menyaring gas hasil pembakaran sebelum dibuang keluar. PT Trimatsu Berkah Salsabila merupakan perusahaan jasa yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur yang berdiri pada tahun 2010. Perusahaan ini memproduksi komponen-komponen maupun alat atau mesin sesuai dengan pesanan konsumen. Perusahaan ini mempunyai pesanan dari konsumen terkait dengan pembuatan knalpot. Mesin-mesin pembuatan knalpot yang dipesan seperti mesin roll plat, mesin nosing, mesin pengelasan, mesin uji coba kebocoran knalpot dan mesin penanda untuk knalpot motor. Perancangan mesin penanda knalpot dituntut untuk dapat mencekam knalpot motor matic dan memberi penandaan terhadap knalpot secara otomatis. Penandaan yang diberikan terhadap knalpot berupa lubang atau titik pada letak tertentu. Selain itu mesin penanda knalpot dapat menghasilkan atau memberi penanda sampai dengan 15-20 detik/knalpot. Proses penandaan dapat menggunakan penggores, stampt, cat atau penitik. Proses tersebut dinilai tidak efektif karena proses tersebut dilakukan secara manual oleh manusia, sedangkan proses penandaan yang diinginkan dilakukan secara cepat, tepat pada posisi tertentu dan dilakukan secara otomatis. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dibutuhkan rancangan mesin penanda knalpot untuk motor matic dengan sistem kontrol otomatis. Diharapkan perancangan mesin penanda untuk knalpot motor matic ini dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang telah dicantumkan. Kata kunci: Perancangan, mesin penanda knalpot, Knalpot.

This company manufactures components or tools or machinery in accordance with the order of the consumer. The company has orders from consumers related to the manufacture of exhaust. Machinery manufacture exhaust are booked as plate roll machine, machines, welding machines, nosing the engine exhaust leak test and a marker for the exhaust motor. The design of the engine exhaust markers required to be gripping the exhaust motor matic and give the tagging against exhaust automatically. The designation given to the exhaust or hollow point on a particular layout. In addition the engine exhaust can produce a marker or markers to give with 15-20 seconds/exhaust. The tagging process can use penggores, penitik, colour or stampt. The process was rated ineffective because the process was done manually by humans, whereas the desired designation process done quickly, just in certain positions and is done automatically. To overcome these problems required the design of engine exhaust marker for motor control system with auto-matic.
